Also known simply as MDR, this new group lead by Matt Walker (Morrisey, Smashing Pumpkins, Filter) recorded a live show for Flashpoint Academy this summer that was shot in Hi Def audio and video. The DVD of the show will be released soon and was mixed and mastered by Doug McBride.

Even the most talented musicians can fall victim to shoddy recordings, so a band’s decision on where to lay down, mix and master their material can make a world of difference to how they’re perceived by listeners…..

Filligar at Gravity

A while back, Filligar came in to the studio and did a couple songs. We shot a video in order to give visitors to this site a sort of virtual tour. We hope you enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed making it.

Gravity Studios – Circa 1994

We’re going to take another step back here and peek at Gravity from the year 1994(ish). These are the early days of Gravity, with ADATs, a Mackie 32*8, and who knows what else (I bet Doug knows). However, using this meager setup, many hits were made and a small studio became a big name.
