Ramsey Valentyn

Ramsey is originally from the Detroit Metro Area and studied at Oakland University and University of Michigan with a focus on Classical Music, Music Theatre, Opera, and Composition. Working in tandem with Michigan Opera Theatre (now known as Detroit Opera) alongside founder David DiChiera and Karen DiChiera, Ramsey helped facilitate community outreach programs and archiving. As a performer, Ramsey made his debut recital as the youngest solo artist to headline at the Detroit Opera House in 2009, and his debut opera performance as The Prince of Persia in Turandot with the same company. Ramsey has performed with artists such as Josh Groban, and The Barenaked Ladies, and was formerly the lead singer of the pop/rock band “Solstice”. Ramsey composes and arranges music in a variety of genres including but not limited to soundtracks for film, visual novels, and video games in addition to radio-friendly material, for which he has been nominated for three Detroit Music Awards. As studio manager with Gravity, Ramsey brings a strong focus to project management, helping artists achieve their goals, and providing support and input to the team to ensure clear communication while connecting artists with the best suited engineer for their needs.
